AST5182 enables correct installation of the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal on a range of VW group petrol and diesel engines. Located at the Flywheel end of Crankshaft , the Rear Oil Seal and Crankshaft Position Indicator Ring are housed within a flange plate and are installed as a single assembly.


  Essential Tool to ensure correct fitting of the sealing flange assembly

•  Aids correct position of indicator ring and crankshaft seal

•  Features adjustable pin locations to cover both petrol and diesel engines

AST5192   is used whenever the flywheel needs to be removed or installed, including flywheel replacement or crankshaft seal replacement procedures.  AST5192 locates in a bolt at the rear of the engine and locks into the teeth of the flywheel ring to securely retain its position.
